The Wisconsin Funeral and Cemetery Aids Program (WFCAP) is for funeral, cemetery, and crematory providers. It covers service provider expenses that aren’t fully paid for by an eligible decedent’s estate, family, or other resources.  Service providers receive WFCAP payments directly. We offer up to $1,500 for unmet funeral expenses. We also offer up to $1,000 for unmet cemetery and crematory expenses

Dane County's Human Services programs serve people from birth to death. We make sure children are safe and support healthy families. We offer support for the elderly, and those with disabilities, substance use issues, and mental health needs. We also assist with basic economic needs, including housing, employment, food, and medical requirements.

Emergency Assistance (EA) provides a payment and a connection to resources for families facing a setback due to a housing emergency, including impending homelessness and domestic violence, natural disaster, fire, or an energy crisis.  EA can help you connect to resources in your community.  With EA you get cash assistance to help your family with an expense from the crisis you experienced.

he Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program (WHEAP) assists eligible households​ with their heating and electric bills. It is funded by the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and the ​​​Public Benefits (PB) program.

The two basic parts of energy assistance are regular benefits and crisis assistance. In addition, HE+ HVAC Program Services and HE+ Water Conservation Program Services are operated under WHEAP. 
WHEAP benefits are not guaranteed to eligible households. When funds for a program year are exhausted, no benefits are issued, even to eligible households.

The Heat And Housing For Heroes Campaign, with support of the Wisconsin Home Energy Plus/Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program, helps Veterans to alleviate life-threatening energy-related emergencies through the use of energy assistance grants.  Whether a Veteran is facing a no heat, life-threatening emergency (out of fuel, disconnection of services, broken furnace), or just has fallen behind on paying their utility bills, the Heat And Housing For Heroes Campaign may be able to help!
